The Chemicals Act No 61/2013 is the foundation for Icelandic chemicals legislation and serves as the legal basis for the incorporation of the provisions of several EU legal acts into Icelandic regulations. The Environment Agency of Iceland is the competent authority for the application of a number of these EU acts, including but not limited to:
